DPx HEFT 4 Assault

DPx HEFT 4 Assault Zoom

DPx Gear redefined the term “survival knife” with the DPx H•E•S•T. Now the Hostile Environment Field Tool takes our survival concept bigger, harder and longer.

The DPx HEST has a stouter, bolder, four inch brother in 0.19” thick patented German Lohmann Niolox 1.4153.03 stainless, high-performance blade steel cryo-hardened to 61 HRC. This “take to the fight” version delivers more punch in an open use environment or where the pry bar and concealed use of the HEST is not as critical.

The HEFT 4 Assault features a hollow handle and an innovative bottle opener/pry bar and lanyard hole all in a well thought out CORDURA sheath. Patent Pending

Love this knife!!!!Review by James
This was my first DPX Gear knife. I'm now on my second purchase since my colleagues can't stop offering me cash for it. It has become my absolute favorite fixed blade and go to for daily uniform carry. Recently purchased the Boltoron Sheath as the Molle sheath it came with has been a permanent fixture on my kit. I honestly have never felt this attached to a knife. It goes with me everywhere in uniform and I've not had to sharpen it yet. I have no doubt this knife will likely last me a few decades. If you could only have one knife?Review by K.L. Davis
This is perhaps the most versatile and practical knife I own... I have had this knife for a couple of years and it is time and again my go to choice for a rugged and functional knife. The size, balance and design is very well thought out - the quality of the steel is exceptional - you know from the minute you first pick it up that this is a knife designed by, and for, people that really need to carry and use a knife! ImpressiveReview by GruntDog1
My first but not last DPx knife. I own quite a few knives but none of this quality. Sharp right out of the box with great balance and feel. The thickness of the blade surprised me somewhat but immediately saw the advantages in weight for chopping and other tasks. Nice sheath but would have preferred a leather sheath for this quality of knife. I will purchase a folder next when funds are available or another "SUPER" deal is offered.
The Knife & Book deal made this a "SUPER BUY" (Posted on 11/10/13)
Very impressiveReview by Kurt
Tip of my hat to the crew at DPx Gear. This is my second DPx blade. Since I was such a happy customer with my intro into these quality products, I just couldn't pass up another. The first was a folder that is now my EDC fav. This fixed knife will go with me when the field is also on the schedule. The heft of the HEFT is spot on! I'm also very pleased with the fit and finish. Everything about this knife says that even though it looks good it will also not let you down in the performance of it as well. Being a fan of a spear point as opposed to a clip, this is a perfect blend between the two styles. When you see quality you know it. Seeing DPx products is believing. Thanks again. Great FeelReview by MGSCSO457
Just received this knife. It has a great balance and feel. It came with a decent edge out of the box, but still needed a touch up to be what I call sharp. Initial uses have been for cutting rope, opening boxes and a little whittling to get used to it. It holds an edge well. The sheath is designed for MOLLE attachment and has a very limited ability to attach to a belt. I would like to see a hook and loop attachement for quick on/off the belt carry. All-in-all a great value. (Posted on 8/21/13)
